Huck bolt, also known as ring groove rivet, is a high-strength shock-absorbing rivet and belongs to a type of high-end rivet. They are a double-sided rivet with a core, consisting of a collar and rivets. The working principle of ring groove rivets is based on Hooke's Law . Through specialized nail equipment, the rivets are stretched under unidirectional tension, and the rivets are pressed into the rivet groove, causing interference fit between the nail rod and the sleeve ring. After reaching the clamping force, the rivet is pulled and the tail is broken to complete installation.
Huck rivets have the characteristics of high connection strength, good seismic and anti loosening effect, and simple and fast installation. Therefore, they are mainly used in fields such as railways, rail transit, construction bridges, mining machinery manufacturing, heavy trucks, new energy, containers, vibrating screens, etc. In the United States, Huck rivets have been used in railway vehicles since the 1970s, mainly for connecting the center plate, and have been in use ever since. In China, the Huck rivet has also been applied to C80 type connections, which can be used for various connections of vehicles, such as the connection between the side beams and pillars of general open cars and general box cars, the connection between the front and rear slave plate seats and the center beam, the connection between the footstool and the side beam, the connection between the upper center plate and the center beam cover plate, etc.
